The President of the Lebanese Modern Pentathlon Federation, Engineer Roukoz Zgheib, accompanied by a federation delegation consisting of Vice President Ali Mcheik, Secretary General Nadia Nehmeh, Treasurer Kevork Altounian, and Advisor Raed Hamieh, visited Brigadier General Mikhail Moussa, Commander of the Higher Institute of Military Sports, at the President Emile Lahoud Military Sports Complex in Mar Roukoz – Dekwaneh. The meeting served as an introductory visit following the federation’s recent elections, which took place on January 10.

During the meeting, Zgheib presented to Brigadier General Moussa the vision and objectives of the newly elected federation, outlining its work program for the upcoming period. He expressed hope that athletes from the Lebanese Army would join the federation’s family and participate in both local and international events, given their physical capabilities and high-level technical skills.

He also proposed a future plan to establish a constructive and active partnership between the federation and the Higher Institute of Military Sports, focusing on the training of coaches and referees, and the formation of a strong and competitive national modern pentathlon team to represent Lebanon in upcoming Arab and international championships.

Brigadier General Moussa welcomed the visiting delegation, praised the federation’s action plan, and approved the proposals and requests presented, committing to move them toward implementation. Both parties agreed to maintain coordination and hold follow-up meetings to ensure the successful execution of the agreed-upon initiatives.
