🌟 Who We Are
The Lebanese Modern Pentathlon Federation (LMPF) is the official governing body for the sport of Modern Pentathlon in Lebanon. We operate under the authority of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and are affiliated with the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM), the international body governing this Olympic sport.
Founded with the vision of promoting a multi-disciplinary sport that combines physical strength, mental focus, and strategic thinking, our Federation is committed to developing athletes across all ages and levels in the five disciplines of modern pentathlon.
🏅 What is Modern Pentathlon?
Modern Pentathlon is an Olympic sport that consists of five disciplines:
- Fencing (Épée one-touch)
- Swimming (200m freestyle)
- Obstacles
- Laser Run (combined running and laser pistol shooting)
This sport is designed to test the complete athlete—physically and mentally—by blending agility, endurance, precision, and adaptability.

- To train and support athletes, from grassroots to elite levels.
- To organize national championships, training camps, and international participation.
- To integrate modern pentathlon in schools and universities, encouraging youth participation.
- To represent Lebanon proudly in regional and global events under UIPM.

We aim to make Modern Pentathlon a recognized and widely-practiced sport in Lebanon, producing top-tier athletes and promoting the Olympic values of excellence, respect, and friendship.

We have been proudly represented in regional competitions including the Asian Championships, Arab Games, World Cups, and UIPM-sanctioned events.
