Lebanon Hosts First Global Laser Run City Tour with Remarkable Success

As part of its annual calendar and less than three months after its recent relaunch, the Lebanese Modern Pentathlon Federation organized a successful Laser Run race, bringing together 130 male and female athletes from both affiliated and authorized clubs. The participants were distributed across 13 waves. The event was held in the presence of the Federation’s President, Eng. Roukoz Zgheib, Vice President Ali Mcheik, General Secretary Nadia Nehmeh, Treasurer Bassam Cheiban, and board members Raed Hamieh and Georges Maamari, reflecting the leadership’s full commitment to the growth and visibility of the sport in Lebanon.

The event began with the playing of the Lebanese national anthem, followed by a welcoming speech by Federation President, Eng. Roukoz Zgheib, who reaffirmed the Federation’s commitment to implementing this internationally recognized event, which is part of the UIPM calendar, and emphasized Lebanon’s dedication to its international obligations.

The race was launched with enthusiastic commentary and coordination by the event host and Federation Treasurer, Bassam Chayban. Prior to the start, Referees’ Committee Head, Najib Chami, explained the race course and the laser pistol system, noting that each wave consisted of ten athletes.

Federation Secretary General, Mrs. Nadia Nehmeh, was responsible for issuing the results, which were as follows:
