The International Modern Pentathlon Federation praised the noticeable activity demonstrated by the Lebanese Federation in recent years, considering it encouraging to see the increasing focus on athlete development since the reactivation of the National Olympic Sports Federation.

In a firm stance, the International Federation expressed its strong reservations regarding the decision of the Lebanese Minister of Youth and Sports, considering it a clear violation of the Olympic Charter—particularly Article 27.9, which states that National Olympic Committees are the sole entities authorized to manage sports within their countries and prohibits any government interference that might obstruct their work or undermine their independence.

The International Federation reiterated its full support for the Lebanese Federation alongside the Lebanese Olympic Committee, emphasizing its recognition of the Federation as the legitimate national body and the sole representative of modern pentathlon in Lebanon. It also expressed its readiness to provide any additional support requested to safeguard the independence of Lebanese sports and uphold its principles.
