The Lebanese Modern Pentathlon Federation held its Ordinary General Assembly Meeting at the Federation’s headquarters, chaired by Eng. Roukoz Zougheib, President of the Federation.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Ali Msheik, Vice President; Ms. Nadia Nehmeh, Secretary General; Mr. Bassam Cheiban, Treasurer; Mr. Kevork Altounian, Accountant; and Mr. Raed Hamieh, Board Member, in addition to representatives of the Federation’s affiliated clubs:
- Eng. Roukoz Zougheib, President of Body Power Club
- Mr. Ernest Sleiman, President of Amchit Club
- Mr. Kevork Altounian, President of Rise & Raise Club
- Mr. Wissam Chiri, Secretary General and representative of Al Ahle Al Khiam Club
- Mr. Ahmad Harb, Treasurer and representative of Zawtar El Charqiyeh Club
The meeting was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the strong spirit of cooperation and shared responsibility between the Federation and its affiliated clubs. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional governance and continuing the development of modern pentathlon in Lebanon.
Opening the session, Federation President Eng. Roukoz Zougheib welcomed the Board members and club representatives, highlighting the significant progress achieved during the past year. He praised the Federation’s local and international accomplishments, which contributed to its advancement to 14th place in the world rankings in 2025, further enhancing Lebanon’s international standing in modern pentathlon.
During the meeting, Secretary General Ms. Nadia Nehmeh presented the administrative report, while Treasurer Mr. Bassam Cheiban delivered the financial report. Both reports reviewed the Federation’s key achievements and financial position, were discussed by the General Assembly, and subsequently approved.
The General Assembly also approved the 2026 budget and ratified the 2026 calendar of activities and competitions, which includes both domestic championships and international participations.
In closing, the Federation reaffirmed its commitment to the continued administrative and technical development of the sport, strengthening cooperation with affiliated clubs, and ensuring that Lebanon is represented with distinction in upcoming regional and international competitions. The Federation emphasized the importance of maintaining a unified team spirit in pursuit of further progress and success at both the national and international levels.
